We offer confirmation of the building construction type (in accordance with the Building Code of Australia), review design, construction and approval information, plus inspect the building to determine whether potentially combustible cladding has been used on the external facade. We then complete the building industry professional statement about whether or not the building may be an affected private building, thereby ensuring building owners meet their regulatory requirements.
Building Fire Safety Risk Assessment
Our fire engineering evaluation assesses aspects of your building’s external facade such as the approval pathway, relevance to external fire spread considerations and compatibility with the building’s fire strategy. Using this information, plus test data from the cladding material, we provide a building fire safety risk assessment report. We then complete the fire engineer statement required for building owners to fulfil their regulatory requirements.
Sampling and Combustibility Testing
We can determine the chemical composition and indicative fire performance for any cladding materials used on a building’s external facade. This process involves identifying and collecting cladding material samples, followed by combustibility testing. Test results are used to assess if the fire performance of the external facade will negatively impact the buildings fire strategy, and for making appropriate recommendations in the building fire safety risk assessment report.
Cladding Remediation Management
We will provide expert construction Project Management for the duration of cladding replacement or remediation works. Our teams have extensive experience working on existing buildings, with tenants’ in-situ.
